The Milwaukee Prenatal Yoga Community (MPYC) Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training will bring you into the gesture of the birth process by emphasizing the rhythms of pregnancy and birth for planning prenatal yoga classes and for moving through your own unfolding as a prenatal yoga teacher.

Our (online) training program is uniquely situated to offer the deepest birthing wisdom within a whole, immersive Prenatal Yoga curriculum.  We will be able to draw on the rich diversity of birth worker experience within the Milwaukee community (midwives, doulas, chiropractors, childbirth educators, perinatal mood professionals, etc) to prepare you as a teacher with tools and resources.

Experienced prenatal yoga teachers will guide you in refining your understanding of the pregnant body and the best practices for ease, strength, and vitality. Amy will use her deep experience in the connection between mind, body, and heart, as a yoga teacher and student of depth psychology, to invite you to tune into the hearts and minds of your students, equipping them with tools to understand their mind and body as whole, healthy, powerful, and capable.  Heather will contribute time-honored wisdom from Yoga's sister science, Ayurveda, so can learn balancing practices that support health in themselves and their students - on and off the mat.  She offers years of experience teaching expectant people as well as aspiring yoga teachers and ayurvedic health counselors.

Finally, the women facilitating the training will draw on work with pregnant people and families to build community within the yoga circle, a web of connection to self, baby, other pregnant people, families, and the community.  This is not just a physical practice. This training will help you to serve pregnant folks by attention to heart, mind, baby, body, and community.
Scholarships are available for BIPOC yoga teachers and birth advocates who would like to become prenatal yoga teachers.
Currently, our training is available as an online, self-paced program with live-streamed webinars and group classes. Full training modules will be available for those interested in pursuing in depth prenatal yoga training, or single lectures on individual topics are available for those interested in portions of the training.

Feedback from trainees provides Registered Yoga Schools with the opportunity to understand their trainees’ experiences in order to continually improve their trainings.

By choosing to display comments, schools enable trainees to provide insight into a school’s culture and training which helps potential trainees choose the right teacher training for their individual path with yoga.
