Michelle grew up surrounded by deep spiritual roots, teachings and practices that exuded a mindful and contemplative lifestyle.
Her fast-faced corporate career kicked off the quest to find the grounding and mindful disciplines that yoga and meditation offer.
She completed her 200-hour Hatha Yoga training in 2013 at Sheridan College and has completed an additional 300 hours of training from the Kripalu lineage.
These intensive studies focused on Meditation, Pranayama, Kripalu Vinyasa, Nadis & Granthis. The principles of Sukha (comfort) and Sthira (effort) are the root influence in Michelle’s teaching style and there are often reminders to students to connect to a more mindful and soulful practice.
She’s inspired by how small shifts make big changes and how slowing down offers a different perspective on almost everything.
Some other studies she has completed include Yin Yoga (PranaShanti; Jashoda Edmunds, Brahmani Liebman), Restorative Yoga (Cyndi Lee), Thai Yoga Massage, Craniosacral studies and TCM. She is also a certified Divine Sleep Yoga Nidra® instructor, Meditation Teacher and Usui Reiki Master.
She looks forward to being a part of your yoga journey!
Michelle is a registered instructor through the Yoga Alliance as an E-RYT500 and YACEP.
