As part of the Yoga Alliance Social Credentialing system, teachers that register with Yoga Alliance must submit a review of the RYS training program they completed.

Feedback from trainees provides Registered Yoga Schools with the opportunity to understand their trainees’ experiences in order to continually improve their trainings.

By choosing to display comments, schools enable trainees to provide insight into a school’s culture and training which helps potential trainees choose the right teacher training for their individual path with yoga.

The course itself was incredibly informative and I learned a lot from this commitment. It was led by two instructors, one remote and one local Central NY instructor. Both instructors have an incredible level of expertise when it comes to Ayurveda and the Asana practice. We were blessed to have our local NY instructor and her 20+ years of experience to assist us through this challenging program. As with any program, there are always areas for improvement and focus. Without going in to great detail, the obstacles we faced during this experience yielded resilient, empowered, and bonded yoga instructors for our local group of five. Between our local instructor and all of the trainees, we worked together to overcome and achieve a common goal of becoming certified yoga teachers. I am grateful for this course and its teachings as it marks a new beginning in to my devotion to yoga. I recently restarted my journey in addiction recovery and this course solidified my foray into a new facet of my yoga practice, as well as my recovery. I have immense gratitude for the instructors who took time out of their busy lives to make this happen.

This Ayurvedic Yoga Teacher Training was life-changing. Prior to my training I utilized Yoga as a physical and relaxing practice only, as an adjunct to my exercise regime, and a way to find calm. Now that I have learned the roots of Yoga, and about its sister science of Ayurveda, Yoga is now in my heart, as it means so much more to me now. Our instructors for this training brought decades of experience, and were truly fountains of wisdom and light. Having a foundation of Yoga and Ayurveda, and understanding the philosophies and practices of these, was immensely helpful when it came time to learn how to design a class, but this training has also changed how I live my life on and off the mat. I cannot thank our instructors enough for this opportunity.

It was an amazing journey. My one regret is that it began during the pandemic and we weren't able to meet face-to-face for our trainings as originally planned.

I loved my teacher training experience. The education was terrific - very thorough, so much to learn about Ayurveda and how it can work with yoga. The instructor, Maria Garre is so incredibly skilled and knowledgeable. She was a delight to learn from. She is an inspiring instructor.

I discovered so much respect for the world of Yoga and for my instructor, Maria. This is definitely the best yoga teacher training course in Albuquerque. 100% worth the time and effort.

I really enjoyed my time at the New Mexico School of Yoga. I learned a ton and had fun. I would strongly recommend taking a yoga training here.

Wonderfully passionate teacher, small class size for more personal learning experience. Very informative on both Yoga and Ayurveda.
