As part of the Yoga Alliance Social Credentialing system, teachers that register with Yoga Alliance must submit a review of the RYS training program they completed.

Feedback from trainees provides Registered Yoga Schools with the opportunity to understand their trainees’ experiences in order to continually improve their trainings.

By choosing to display comments, schools enable trainees to provide insight into a school’s culture and training which helps potential trainees choose the right teacher training for their individual path with yoga.

  I couldn't recommend Akasha Yoga Academy more. This course goes way beyond just becoming a teacher of asanas. It dives and delves deep in to all aspects of this beautiful ancient practice and is quite honestly life-changing. The intelligence and knowledge of the teachers is incredible and leaves you realising that you are only on the beginning of the journey and who better to continue that journey with than Akasha themselves! Heart-felt teachings with a huge dose of humanity, empathy and enthusiasm. I would honestly recommend them to anybody wishing to learn what it is to be a true yogi.

  The gratitude I feel could fill volumes, but I'll try to be brief. The care and intention put into every aspect of the course, from asana sequences and lectures to the advice and support, was so apparent, from the team behind the scenes all the way to the lead teachers. The Zoom calls were indispensible, meeting needs for connection, community, expanding knowledge, and feeling seen. And the Whatsapp chat felt consistently safe and supportive. Because of my experience with this course, I feel ready to teach, with a new confidence in myself, grounded in the self-trust I've been able to build by putting what I've earned into practice. The depth and breadth of the knowledge shared, the respect and reverence demonstrated, the sincerity of the guidance and community, fully met my needs for feeling safe and supported, and being able to trust the validity of what was being taught. I am beyond satisfied with my Akasha experience, and look forward to continuing my education with them.

  Joining Yoga teacher training with Akasha Yoga Academy has been one of the best decisions I have made in my entire life so far! It changed my life in an extremely positive way and even after graduation, I continue feeling very lucky and grateful that I had the chance to learn from such great teachers, who share the authentic yogic wisdom with such a heartfelt dedication. The curriculum was very complete and of extremely high quality. The sensation of belonging and feeling of love within the community is simply heartwarming. Next to the complete materials, resources, courses, I received access to a continuous friendly support and mentorship, honest and expert feedback that helped me on my yoga teacher journey. After graduation, the school, teachers and the community are still there, sharing their love, support, knowledge. How lucky :) Forever grateful.

  I have thoroughly enjoyed my learning experience with Akasha Yoga Academy. The videos are high resolution with a beautiful nature background behind the teachers. The teachers themselves are highly experienced and share their knowledge with heart and even humour! I have learned so much and am feeling ready to teach classical breath-based Hatha Yoga. I discovered the calming effects of Pranayama, managed to focus my mind with meditation, discovered the Yamas and Niyamas and other limbs of Yoga, improved my Asana practice and learned many words in Sanskrit, along with learning about the scriptures and history and true nature of Yoga. The assignments were appropriate for the program and followed by precious recorded feedback from my mentor. The Zoom calls allowed for a shared sense of community with other students from all around the world, opportunities to ask specific questions, discovering other mentors leading those calls, as well as getting to know the 3 main teachers and founders of Akasha. It's such a well-organized program. I recommend it 100%.

  The Akasha Yoga Academy is authentic, meticulous and thorough in its content and instruction. The program has wonderful teachers all and includes interesting guest speakers. They offer lots of ways to engage with the teachers and other students. Their online programs and resources are comprehensive of everything one needs to teach and to have a beautiful self-practice that includes a solid understanding of yogic philosophy and anatomy. They also offer resources for using technology to teach. They are very supportive, provide excellent resources and radiate sincerity and joy. I always recommend this program when anyone asks where I studied.
