As part of the Yoga Alliance Social Credentialing system, teachers that register with Yoga Alliance must submit a review of the RYS training program they completed.

Feedback from trainees provides Registered Yoga Schools with the opportunity to understand their trainees’ experiences in order to continually improve their trainings.

By choosing to display comments, schools enable trainees to provide insight into a school’s culture and training which helps potential trainees choose the right teacher training for their individual path with yoga.

  I think that at the Akasha Yoga Academy i had one of the best experiences in my life. I can't even find the words to describe how much I loved the teacher training course. It has been life-changing on so many levels and I met many beautiful people. I was supported throughout my whole journey in becoming a yoga teacher and I enjoyed every single class and Zoom call. Thank you Akasha Yoga Academy :)

  When I signed up for a 200hr YTT through Akasha Yoga, I did not realize how deep this training would go. I learned so much valuable information on the yogic tradition, self-inquiry, life, etc. in addition to the more surface-level teacher training requirements of anatomy and asana practice. I grew to love meditation and pranayama as much as I love to move and flow and feel so supported in my teaching skills. Amazing course. You will make friends and connections across the world, as well as learn how to teach and share the wisdom and benefits of yoga practice :-)

The expertise, attention to detail, and genuine passion of the Akasha team shines through in every aspect of the program. The combined experience and knowledge of the instructors on the history of yoga, pranayama, asanas and meditation runs deep. The course content is presented through high quality videos and the curriculum is well designed and sequences. The daily ZOOM calls offer access to the lead instructors as well as a larger community of students. Finally, the mentor teachers are fantastic. They provide thoughtful and skilled feedback on assignments. I am going to miss the team at Akasha and will likely be returning for other shorter trainings.

  Last year I was searching for a yoga school that focuses on traditional yoga, and not on acrobatics. I was happy to find Akasha Yoga Academy. Firstly I was skeptical because I was unsure if online teacher training could be sufficient. That time they were offering a trial course which I took before my 200h hour application, it was a great introduction to the program. I realized this is exactly what I was looking for. This training beautifully combines the explanation of yoga with the application of science and its history. It goes beyond. The people at Akasha teach what "real" yoga is, and not a Westernized, or watered-down version. I am grateful for the knowledge I received, and I am sure we will see each other very soon in the next course.
