Deniz, Bashakti and Raisa took great care in nurturing a fun learning environment and I'm extremely grateful for all the valuable knowledge that they shared. They're very passionate and have a fountain of knowledge to share, thank you! Unfortunately Tanya, the owner and who we thought was the lead trainer, never attended the course without explanation. This was very disappointing, especially because there was no communication about the matter. The food provided was also not what was promised and whilst the team did their best to remedy the situation, it definitely influenced the overall experience. Overall, the teachers were fantastic and provided a strong foundation for us, but the communication from the owner and food situation was disappointing.

Overall I had a great experience with teacher training at The Yoga MAT. The staff are really caring and go out of their way to adapt to the needs of the group. They also incorporate some fun activities and excursions in addition to the day-to-day routine. I feel I got a really thorough breakdown of asana, making adjustments, pranayama, anatomy and yoga philosophy, and was able to teach my first class successfully. I also really enjoyed the sound baths. There definitely is some need to be willing to go with the flow as the course is in Thailand, a tropical location and developing country where things don't always run as we expect in the west. I've traveled extensively and was prepared for this and also felt like the staff did a good job making sure we had clean water/food, a practice area with a breeze to ward off mosquitoes and adapting the schedule occasionally to factor in heat and if the group was getting too exhausted. They even went out of there way to celebrate my birthday and got me flowers, a cake and card. Accommodations at Varinda Resort are rustic but beautifully decorated with a nice pool area and caring staff who really try to meet every request. Overall it was a transformative experience with a wonderful group of people and I'm so glad I went.

I absolutely loved the 200 hour yoga teach training with Tania, Bashakti and Deniz in Koh Samui. They were all super nice and welcoming, the place we stayed at was lovely and I just felt so lucky to be able to do yoga with a view over the ocean. I learnt so much and would definitely do it again. I already recommended the course to friends and family.

Title: A Life-Changing Journey at Yoga Mat School Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I recently completed my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training at Yoga Mat School, and I cannot express enough how transformative and enriching this experience has been for me. From the moment I stepped into the school, I felt a sense of warmth and belonging that set the tone for the entire training. The faculty at Yoga Mat School is exceptional. The teachers are not only highly knowledgeable and experienced in their respective fields but also incredibly passionate about sharing their wisdom and guiding us on our yoga journey. They created a nurturing and supportive environment that allowed us to explore and deepen our practice with confidence. The curriculum was comprehensive and well-structured, covering all aspects of yoga, including asanas, pranayama, meditation, philosophy, anatomy, and teaching methodology. Each day brought new insights and challenges, and I appreciated how the program seamlessly integrated theory with practical application. The hands-on teaching practice sessions were invaluable in building our confidence as future yoga teachers. What truly sets Yoga Mat School apart is their commitment to individual growth and personal development. The faculty took the time to understand each student's unique strengths and areas for improvement, providing personalized guidance and feedback throughout the training. They encouraged us to explore our own teaching style and supported us in finding our authentic voice as yoga teachers. The facilities at Yoga Mat School are top-notch. The spacious and well-equipped yoga studios provided the perfect space for practice, and the serene surroundings created a tranquil atmosphere conducive to learning and self-reflection. The school also offers a variety of workshops, guest lectures, further enriching the learning experience. Beyond the curriculum, Yoga Mat School fostered a sense of community and connection among the students. I formed deep bonds with my fellow trainees, and the support and camaraderie we shared made the journey even more meaningful. The school organized group activities and outings, creating opportunities for us to connect on a personal level and create lifelong friendships. Tania, Deniz and Bashakti I cannot thank you enough for the profound impact it has had on my life. This training has not only deepened my understanding and practice of yoga but has also empowered me to share this ancient wisdom with others. I feel confident and prepared to embark on my journey as a yoga teacher, thanks to the comprehensive training and guidance I received. If you are considering a yoga teacher training program, I wholeheartedly recommend Yoga Mat School. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced practitioner, this school will provide you with the tools, knowledge, and support to take your yoga practice to new heights. Prepare to be inspired, challenged, and transformed at Yoga Mat School. Namaste. Rona

The Yoga Mat School offers a very holistic program with all the different kinds of areas of knowledge such as Asana, Breath, Anatomy, Philosophy, History etc. Seeing different types of teachers offering their teachings in their own unique ways is very inspiring. A program to feel empowered for further teaching skills.

The 200 hour program is vigorous and demanding yet it was doable. It provided a strong foundation in yoga philosophy, physical aspects such as anatomy, pranayama and asanas and class design and procedures. Yoga mat goes the extra mile to give support and be professional. The school and accommodations offer many beautiful views of Koh Samai.
