As part of the Yoga Alliance Social Credentialing system, teachers that register with Yoga Alliance must submit a review of the RYS training program they completed.
Feedback from trainees provides Registered Yoga Schools with the opportunity to understand their trainees’ experiences in order to continually improve their trainings.
By choosing to display comments, schools enable trainees to provide insight into a school’s culture and training which helps potential trainees choose the right teacher training for their individual path with yoga.

This was a great foundational yoga course, I found the teachers to be extremely knowledgeable, generous and supportive. The course covers yoga and meditation philosophy and techniques in depth with lots of resources also provided for further study. I really appreciate having had the opportunity to participate in the out of town course online.

The Auckland Yoga Academy's teacher training is an incredible journey that I would encourage any yogi's interested in becoming a teacher to embark on. Jude and Peter are both dedicated practitioners and have so much wisdom, knowledge and experience to share with their teachers. Their learnt experiences in Ashtanga and Iyengar yoga (as well as living in India) is what makes this course so authentic and I could not recommend it enough. I write this review, having completed the course 1 month ago, and am already thinking about when I can return to Auckland to study with Jude, Peter and the Academy again.

My experience with the yoga academy training was extremely positive. With teachers with over 30 years of experience they provide a full time program that includes a lot of anatomy studies, using anatomy concepts to put in practice with students. What I would recommend the most about the yoga academy apart from the excellent teachers is that you are immerse in a beautiful community. Learning Yoga Philosophy, the 8 limbs of yoga, yamas and niyamas , from teachers who walk their talk and every single day show you with their own practice in the school how to become a good and professional yoga teacher being the best version of yourself.

Im very grateful that I decided to start my yoga teaching journey at the Yoga Academy Auckland. It was an intense year, where I learned so much and really got to know myself. Jude has a wonderful ability to share her life long experiences and knowledge. The training is highly professional and well structured with a perfect mix of all aspects a teacher training needs. The possibility to experience your first teachings live in class under the guidance of Jude and Peter was a very valuable part of the training program. Looking back today, I am 100% convinced that this was the best decision. The teacher training enabled me to further grow into my own practice and step by step to build up my own teaching style. The support of the teachers at the Yoga Academy gave and still give me the confidence and strength to continue this path. Living now in Germany, where I still practice and teach, I highly appreciate the value of that profound training and remember my teachers every time I step on my mat.

Amazing school to do the training. The teachers are very professional, with lots of knowledge- and kindness! It is just amazing to find a place where you feel safe and supported to go through this journey that is not just technical but also personal and spiritual-if you choose to. Very grateful for this experience in the Academy!!
