I first experienced yoga over 15 years ago. At that time I was mainly looking for exercise to balance a busy lifestyle. From practicing mainly Jivamucti Yoga in Germany, I came to Ashtanga when I moved to Auckland in 2015. I was lucky that I was able to study Ashtanga Yoga intensely and truly immerse myself into this ancient practice. Yoga aided me to develop physical and mental strength and a deeper understanding of the overall connection of body, mind and spirit.
In 2018 I completed my 800hours Ashtanga Teacher Training at the Auckland Yoga Academy. I am now certified as a RTY200 by the Yoga Alliance.
Today I practice the Ashtanga Mysore Style on a regular basis while I continuously learn and experience more about the great benefits yoga brings into your daily life. I am pleased to share this practice in my teachings.
My classes are suitable for beginners and more experienced practitioners. My classes range from essential basic asanas, combined with breathing techniques to more challenging continuous flowing sequences as in the classic ashtanga style. It is a talked through class, based on a series of poses, following in a specific order. Adjustments and variations are given throughout class to suit different levels and everyone as needed.I also offer private and corporate classes.
Besides yoga I enjoy travelling, being out by the sea, nature walks and vegetarian cooking.
