Foteini Dimitriou was born in Athens and is the Founder of Yoga Family Violet Alignment. She discovered her love for yoga at an early age.
Foteini studied a 200HR Hatha Yoga Teacher Training course (Heiron Kentavros in 2007) followed by a 100HR Anusara Yoga Training with Todd Tessen, Sianna Sherman, Naime Jezzeny, Sue Elkind and Douglas Brooks. She also holds a 300HR Certification (Yoga Teacher Training, Vedansha, Rishikesh, India).
She specialized in kids and family yoga, pre & post natal yoga, restorative yoga (includes women's health issues, as menstruations, hormones, etc..), yoga for seniors, partner yoga through a 300HR Yoga Teacher Training course - Yogakids International U.S.A. and a 320HR Specialization Rainbow Yoga Teacher Training in Italy. Foteini has attended several workshops and teaches yoga to adults and kids, in different schools, yoga studios, and holistic centers in Europe and India. She is also organizing and teaching International Yoga Teacher trainings courses (200HR and 95hr Yoga kids), certified by Yoga Alliance U.S.A. and Yoga Professionals UK.
Foteini is also a writer. Her first collection of folktales “Yoga and folktales” has been published by the Academy of poetry and folktales in Athens, Greece and in 2018, she created SoFo project with Sophia Kritikou (Psychologist – special education teacher). This project focuses on yoga practices for empowerment and self-regulation development which is a program related to Yoga for special needs. It has been awarded the second prize by the EPR organization (2019).
