Kristen has been teaching and practicing yoga for two decades and began training yoga teachers in 2008 with YogaFit Worldwide. In her role as senior master trainer with YogaFit, she leads all levels of trainings and has developed several of their training manuals including Yoga for Emotional and Physical Trauma, Restoring Balance: Training the Parasympathetic Nervous System, Sound and Mantra, YogaFit Healthcare: Examining the role of the Subtle Body, Yoga Nidra, YogaFit for Cancer Care and Recover, Yoga for Chronic Pain, and Expanding Consciousness. Her career in the fitness and wellness field spans 30 years and in that time she has worked with hundreds of people to help them find ways to incorporate healthy habits and a balanced lifestyle. In addition to being a C-IAYT, she is a certified exercise physiologist (ACSM), a Certified Personal Trainer (ACE), a Certified Brain Longevity Specialist (ARFP), and holds a Master's Degree in Health & Fitness Management.
Kristy hosts several yoga and meditation retreats each year which are open to both yoga teachers and all levels of yogis including the beginner. Kristy's enthusiasm and passion for yoga is infectious. She especially enjoys helping beginners understand and develop a practice that they will look forward to each day. Her expertise in both exercise science and the traditions of yoga enable her to design effective and enjoyable programs that are as safe as they are fun!
