Cyndi Lee is the first female Western yoga teacher to fully integrate yoga asana and Tibetan Buddhism in her practice and teaching. Founder of NYC’s OM yoga Center (1998-2012), she teaches worldwide and at her home studio, Yoga Goodness Studio in Lynchburg, VA. Author of the yoga classic, Yoga Body Buddha Mind and critically acclaimed May I Be Happy, a memoir about body image and meditation, she also writes for Yoga Journal, Real Simple, Lion’s Roar, Yoga International and more. Cyndi holds an MFA in Dance from UC Irvine, is a long time student of Gelek Rimpoche and is training to be a Zen Buddhist Chaplain under the auspices of Roshi Joan Halifax, emphasizing service in areas of women’s health and physical resiliency practices.
