Cyndi Lee is the first female Western yoga teacher to fully integrate yoga asana and Tibetan Buddhism in her practice and teaching. Cyndi has been teaching yoga since 1978 and was one of the first members of Yoga Alliance, upon their invitation to grandmothered into YA in the late 1990's. Her teacher training programs have been long acknowledged as some of the best in the world and were #300, early in the life of the registry. Cyndi has been invited to teach her TT programs in Japan, Turkey, Berlin and throughout the US.
Founder of NYC’s OM yoga Center (1998-2012) she now teaches workshops and teacher trainings worldwide and at her home studio, Yoga Goodness Studio in Lynchburg, VA. She is author ofYoga Body Buddha Mind; May I Be Happy: A Memoir of Love, Yoga, and Changing My Mind; OM yoga: A Guide to Daily Practice, and OM yoga in a Box. Cyndi is a writer for Real Simple, Lion's Roar, Yoga Journal and many other publications.

Cyndi is currently training to be a Buddhist Chaplain under the guidance of Roshi Joan Halifax at Upaya Zen Center. Her root guru is the Tibetan master, Gelek Rimpoche.
