As an empathic yoga teacher, I rely heavily upon my intuition and my feelings when guiding students in class and in private lessons. Through my years of study I have taken the best of different forms of yoga and alternative wellness modalities to cultivate my own special blend of yoga. I am ever changing and growing and my practice reflects not only my studies but my life's journey as well. My focus is on finding wellness through yoga, which led me to recently complete a 100 hour specialty certification, “Yoga for Warriors”. A program designed to bring peace of mind to our nations heroes suffering from PTSD, TBI, Trauma and Stress. However, the teachings have also deepened my compassion and understanding for every student I have the pleasure of working with. I specialize in Trauma Sensitive Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Meditation, Restorative Yoga, Gentle Yoga, Mixed Level Vinyasa and Customized Wellness Private lessons.
Kalyani is the name given to me by my first Teacher, it means “Auspicious, Blessed, Beauty and Blissful.” But Anand added to that, saying it means “The one who brings blessings to others”.
