She traveled to Rishekesh, India to study Sattva yoga with founder Anand Mehrotra and later completed her RYT 500 coming full circle with YogaFit. She empowers each student to discover their own power in a challenging but playful manner. In addition to the classes she teaches in Key West and on Sugarloaf Key, she also offers private, couple and semi-private sessions. She specializes in Trauma Sensitive Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Restorative Yoga, Gentle and Mixed Level Vinyasa. Yoga has helped her to find wellness in her own body. It was the rock that guided her through multiple deployments with her husband, a retired U.S. Marine, but also in the toughest fight of his life, facing Leukemia and beating it!
She brings a safe, loving and compassionate environment to every session. Being the eternal student of yoga, Kalyani completed her RYT 140 specialty certification, "Yoga for Warriors” in 2016. A program designed to bring peace of mind to our nations heroes suffering from PTSD, TBI, Trauma and Stress. However, the teachings have also deepened her compassion and understanding for every student she has the pleasure of working with. She feels honored and blessed to have joined the team at Florida Keys Retreats, Full Circle Wellness & Full Circle School of Yoga and Intuitive Arts where she is currently assisting retreat guests with private lessons and is a Lead facilitator for their RYT 200 Yoga Teacher Trainings. The eternal student, Kalyani also went on to complete Level 1 of Warriors at Ease Training to further her understanding of amputations, TBI, PTSD and Military Sexual Trauma. Kalyani joined the team at the Luxury Resort, Little Palm Island in 2020 as their Lead Yoga Teacher. Offering private yoga, meditation and paddle yoga sessions on the beautiful private island. Kalyani also offers workshops and continuing education for yoga teachers at Key West Yoga Sanctuary.
Kalyani is the name given to her by her beloved teacher, Ren, it means “Auspicious, Blessed, Beauty and Blissful.” But Anand (her second teacher in India) added to that, saying it means “The one who brings blessings to others”. She strives everyday to embody that meaning. If you want to feel better but are not sure how to get there, let her help you. Begin your journey within today!
