As a yoga teacher I am passionate about giving you the tools you need to discover and nurture yourself on the mat, from the mat and off the mat.
And that there truly is a lot just about living your life from day to day.
I truly believe success in life has nothing to do with how far you can get in a pose looked upon from the outside. I do believe that contentment, happiness, strength and good alignment comes from the inside out, not outside in.
My own journey was and is about learning to create space, and to value, and set boundaries through practices of yoga, self-care, and meditation. I believe in the power of sharing, not only with like-minded people – with everybody who is ready to listen.
I help my students to find physical ease, grounding and clarity of mind by giving tools, space and guidance to grow with their inner teacher to tap into their unbound potential.
My Journey
I started practicing yoga in 2005 by accidently dropping in to a yoga class after a boxing class at the local health club. I struggled really hard, my body was tense, I was stressed out, my mind was spinning when I closed my eyes and what were these poses?
Also, my body awareness was very low. I didn´t get much that first time but somehow it made me go back and try again. And again until it became regular.
A few years later when life throwed me an unexpected career change, I trained to become a personal trainer and a yoga instructor and got hired by that health club.
In my yoga practice I found myself a yoga teacher who convinced me to take a yoga teacher training to be able to teach more seriously, going from merely instructing to actually teaching.
Many years of teaching and studying have only deepened the call to pursue a yoga career to share the over the centuries collectively collected wisdom.
I believe that the very foundation for a sustainable yoga lifestyle is one´s own practice, a Sadhana. For me it was everything but easy and it came with a lot of struggle, but over time I have built a solid yoga and meditation practice that I do every single day.
My motto is: I practice for my students and teach for myself.
My Yogic Trainings
I have done a lot of studies over the years and I did the 500 hour teacher training at ISHTA Yoga, New York. I am also trained in Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Yoga Nidra and Pilates. Among my many great teachers are Alan and Sarah Finger, Mona Anand and Ulrica Norberg.
ISHTA Yoga
Ishta is an acronym for Integrated Science of Hatha, Tantra and Ayurveda. It´s philosophy is based on ancient tantra teachings and it intelligently blends its parts together to a wholistic take on yoga. Physically it draws from Hatha, Iyengar, Ashtanga and the Viniyoga individual approach to yoga.
My teaching
My trainings are welcoming, prestigeless, creative and encouraging, yet challenging to the individual. Through creating and holding a safe space and giving you the right tools you get to grow into your own unbound potential
Personal Training
I am also a licensed Personal Trainer with many years of experience with clients, ranging from strength and fitness training to nutrition.
