I have been studying and teaching yoga since 2000. I have worked and lived at Mount Madonna Center (off and on) since 2002 where I had the benefit of studying with two marvelous teachers Baba Hari Dass and Georg Feuerstein. I completed an extensive 700 hour program with Georg in 2002-2003 and began my study with Babaji soon after.
I began teaching in the Yoga Teacher Trainings in 2004 and later became Chair of the School of Yoga. I joined Mount Madonna Institute's Ayurveda faculty in 2008, teaching Yoga to Ayurveda students. Then, at Babaji's direction, I became an Ayurvedic Practitioner and later received a Masters of Arts in Ayurveda. I now serve as Interim Provost for Mount Madonna Institute. Teaching, however, remains my passion. The classroom is where I am most at home.
When not teaching at Mount Madonna, I live in Guatemala where I operate a small retreat center, Casa San Juan (posada - yoga - ayurveda). I started the first yoga studio in Antigua Guatemala in 2000 and have continued to teach workshops and retreats in both yoga and Ayurveda. My classes/workshops include: Anatomy and Biomechanics of Asana, The Art of Adjustment, Yoga and Ayurveda for Self-Healing, The Subtle Body, The Basics of Yoga, Samkhya Philosophy: the Foundation of Yoga and Ayurveda, The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali and more.
