I am an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher E-RYT - 500 since 2005 and YCEP since 2016.
I completed a 700 hour training with Georg Feurstein's Yoga Research and Education Center and lived and studied at Mount Madonna Center under the guidance of Baba Hari Dass since 2002. At Mount Madonna Institute I coordinate and teach in all Yoga Teacher Trainings. I love teaching all the limbs of the classical Ashtanga Yoga System of Patanjali. During YTT, my favorite subjects to teach are subtle body anatomy and the weaving of the principles of Ayurveda throughout the practices of asana and pranayama.
I am a Certified Ayurveda Practitioner (since 2010) (MA Ayurveda) who works one-on-one with clients, using the principles of yoga and Ayurveda to bring an individual into balance. I am Chair of the School of Yoga at Mount Madonna Institute and an instructor of Yoga and Ayurveda in the College of Ayurveda. I serve on the Mount Madonna Institute's Board of Directors and am an active member of the National Ayurveda M. Association (NAMA).
When not teaching at Mount Madonna, I live in Guatemala where I operate a small retreat center, Casa San Juan (posada - yoga - ayurveda). I started the first yoga studio in Antigua Guatemala in 2000 and have continued to teach workshops and retreats in both yoga and Ayurveda. My classes/workshops include: Anatomy and Biomechanics of Asana, The Art of Adjustment, Yoga and Ayurveda for Self-Healing, The Subtle Body, The Basics of Yoga, Samkhya Philosophy: the Foundation of Yoga and Ayurveda, The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali.
