Glenda is a Registered Psychotherapist, Registered Yoga Teacher, Death Doula, Grief Educator and Certified Mindfulness Teacher.
She took her first yoga class in 1992 and it would be the beginning of a lifelong relationship that would shape how we sees the world around her and her connection to it.
She works with clients one-on-one and in small groups offering slow flow yoga, restorative, therapeutic yoga, meditation and applied polyvagal strategies to calm the nervous system and support healthy minds and bodies.
She has 200 hour training in Hatha Yoga (2013), 200 hour in Kundalini yoga (2012), and additional training in restorative (2015), yin (2018), and yoga nidra (2020); many hours over ten years of study in yoga philosophy; and additional hours in anatomy (125 hours). She is nearing completion of a 300 hour vinyasa yoga program (early 2024 completion). And she is actively working towards certification as a yoga therapist at Prema Yoga Institute in New York.
She teaches other mental health professionals how to incorporate mindfulness and yoga-based practices to support clients. And how we can use yoga (physical practice, breathwork and meditation) to support those who are grieving. (see YACEP profile for upcoming courses/workshops).
She teaches therapeutic yoga weekly, free monthly yoga nidra practices, free weekly meditation sessions, and then regular series of yoga. See GlendaMyles.com for more details.
