My name is Margarida, I have more than 7 years of teaching experience in Macau. Even though I am from Macau, China, I spent most of my life in Latin America: Brazil and Mexico. My studies and practice began decades ago in Mexico, with Hatha and Kundalini yoga. I also attended courses and retreats, where I learned philosophy and meditation practices from different spiritual traditions, mainly from the Buddhist Vajrayana and Mahamudra schools and from the Kashmir Shaivism non-dualist tradition.
Back to Macau in 2012, I was introduced to the Ashtanga Vinyasa system and since then, it became my main practice. In 2015, I received my teacher training certification with Centered Yoga at Samahita in Thailand. Meanwhile, I was looking for ways to quit my hectic lifestyle and be fully committed to pursue my dream of teaching yoga. In 2019, I finally left my marketing and events management job and began teaching full time. Currently, I am using my previous skills to organize yoga related events and workshops to allow the wisdom of this ancient tradition to reach more people.
My passion on women’s health, drove me to get my certification in Prenatal Yoga. I had the privilege to study with experienced teachers from Mindful Birth Australia and Prenatal Yoga Center in NYC, and learn how to safely teach yoga to local pregnant ladies. My main goal is to empower women, keep them well informed, physically active and emotionally balanced.
My classes are sequenced in a balanced way to meet where each practitioner is in life, and help them to dig deeper into their own self-discovery. I teach all levels and ages, group classes and private coaching mainly in Taipa. I guide the classes in different languages, English, Cantonese and Portuguese, according to the person or group requirements.
