I am a teacher, mentor, and women's health advocate focusing on the ancient wisdom of yoga.
I help yoga teachers and organizations become leaders in celebrating the transitional phases many go through as birthing parents.
When I was in the transitional years of pregnancy and postpartum I quickly realized how much we do not understand the significance of birthing a child and ourselves. We need to learn more about our bodies, the birthing experience, the effects relationship with baby, and have access to nearby resources to create trust and confidence in this sacred phase of life.
As a prenatal and postnatal yoga teacher since 2009, I have noticed the yoga practice (and us as teachers) are the gateway to information, community support, and most importantly honoring the wisdom we already have within for our mothers and birth-givers.
In 2017 I founded the first RPYS, Birth Humanity (formerly Sweet Momma Yoga), in Michigan, and serve as a consultant or mentor for yoga teachers to help align their yoga offerings with their personal values.
