The Trainers Our teacher trainers are first and foremost Yogis and additionally, excellent teachers. We have practised the various limbs of Yoga daily for several decades and it is this establishment in Yoga and the resulting benefits that we wish to share. Above all it is our goal to firmly establish our trainees in Yoga so that they too can share from this perspective.

Gregor Maehle E-RYT 500 Yoga Alliance, Level 3 Yoga Australia Membership Gregor started his yogic practices 30 years ago. In the mid-80’s he commenced yearly travels to India where he studied with various yogic and tantric masters, traditional Indian sadhus and ascetics. Gregor spent 14 months in Mysore, India, and in 1997 was authorized to teach Ashtanga Yoga by K. Pattabhi Jois. Since then he has branched out into research of the anatomical alignment of postures and the higher limbs of Yoga. He obtained his anatomical knowledge through a German Health Practitioner degree and has also studied History, Philosophy and Comparative Religion at German universities. In India Gregor also received eight months of mostly one-on-one instruction in scripture and the higher limbs of Yoga through BNS Iyengar, a student of T. Krishnamacharya. He studied Sanskrit under Professor Narayanachar and Dr. Chandrasekhar. Gregor lived several years as a recluse, studying Sanskrit, yogic scripture and practising yogic techniques. Today, along with maintaining a daily practice of the Primary, Intermediate and Advanced series of Ashtanga Yoga postures, Gregor’s research focus is Pranayama, Kundalini and Meditation. Gregor published Ashtanga Yoga, Practice and Philosophy and Ashtanga Yoga, The Intermediate Series, which have sold over 50,000 copies and have been translated into several foreign languages. Gregor has been invited to many countries to teach and has contributed to and has been interviewed by numerous yoga magazines. His 2012 publication Pranayama, The Breath of Yoga has set a new benchmark in the practice of yogic breathing. His latest book Yoga Meditation: Through Mantra, Chakras and Kundalini to Spiritual Freedom was published in March 2013. Gregor is registered at the highest level with both Yoga Alliance and Yoga Australia. Today Gregor teaches an anatomically sophisticated interpretation of traditional vinyasa yoga, integrated into the practice of the higher limbs in the spirit of Patanjali and T. Krishnamacharya. His zany sense of humour, his manifold personal experiences, his vast and in-depth knowledge of scripture, Indian philosophies and yogic techniques combine to make Gregor’s teachings easily applicable, relevant and accessible to his students.

This training is a must have!! I recomand it to every one who whant to deepen his practice and his comprehension of the whole yoga philosophie history. Doing the 200h and the 300h with Gregor and Monica, is a great opportunity to bild a solid fondation for your own practice and teaching. Monica give so much more than we need, and she makes the anatomy course a spiritual path to. The way she explain and answer to all your questions are a gift and all her guidense is very helpfull (in theory and in the practice session og asana, she is so wise), She pass to us her passionate knoledge and you will never practice the same way after! Thank you Monica, for the awarness you provid. And for the topics that Gregor teach, He knows so weel all the yogic texts, all the history of yoga, he can quote so many texts of so many tradition! His knoledge is amasing, you learn so much with him, reading all his book (almost a compilation of all books avalable on yoga and a synthesis) His teaching is easy to understand, and he can make complex theory realy easy to understand. I recomand also his course on pranayama and meditation, so clear and methodic. Gregor and Monica are very experienced in what they do. They teach a holistic approach to yoga: not only asana and physical practice, but also cover in depth other Limbs of yoga (pranayama, meditation, philosophy, mantras and more). In addition, I have learned therapeutic aspects of asana to make ashtanga yoga available to everyone, how to treat students with diligence and care, and adapt it to different bodies. I have improved my own yoga practice a lot after this training and my practice is much healthier and holistic that it was before I met Gregor and Monica. I am truly grateful I took this training and I continue studying with Gregor and Monica. They are very inspiring teachers who have dedicated their lives to yoga and have helped and continue to help many people both physically and spiritually. I highly recommend Gregor and Monica to all those who are truly interested in yoga. Full Review
