MelMarie Yoga Academy is a phenomenal school for yogi education. Not only were Mel and her instructors incredible at their craft as they guided us through this course, the scope of knowledge being shared through this school was outstanding. I enjoyed my 200 hr yoga TT. Melissa is a great teacher. especially appreciated the emphasis of evidence based research supporting Yoga and special populations. I work in mental Health and SUD services and the emphasis on the neuroscience of Yoga was specifically intriguing. I also enjoyed learning about the history, science and practical applications of yoga including the basics of how to teach a class. Many people can present information but I learned so much through Melissa’s lovely, humorous and authentic teaching style. I began TT with the desire to help make Yoga accessible. The TT solidified this desire and gave me the confidence to begin the journey of sharing yoga as an accessible practice of self care and significant therapeutic intervention with my clients.
