The Create Power Yoga Teacher Training will give you a deep insight into both your yoga practice and understanding of yourself. You will learn how to teach yoga classes that are based in breath, alignment, and meditative movement.  You will come away from training with a comprehensive understanding of yoga physiology, meditation, teaching and communication skills, and how to lead a powerful, strength-building yoga class seeped in using breath and body awareness to create meditation. We will give you the tools to be a successful teacher while you deepen your own practice and understanding of yoga.

Many trainings emphasize reading and lecture. In this training, you will practice teach from day two. Your learning will be through discussion, lecture, hands on exercises, and teaching others. You will leave with skill not only in yoga teaching theory, but in real yoga teaching practice.

The 200-hour teacher training program at Create Power Yoga was superbly organized and facilitated by Petra and her excellent team of trainers, Katherine, Rachel, and Ellary. From the first weekend, each training day was packed with captivating content and a plethora of opportunities to ask questions and practice teaching yoga. I enjoyed the thoughtful mix of fascinating anatomy lectures, interactive posture breakdown clinics, and candid discussions on yogic philosophy that composed much of the first half of the program. I also appreciated the various outlets to creatively explore my personal interests through opportunities to teach meditation and design a yoga workshop. The last half of the program offered a myriad of rigorous opportunities to apply my theoretical learnings and fine-tune my growing ability to teach an all-levels power yoga class. In particular, Petra and her team's sincere passion for teaching and facility for delivering constructive feedback catapulted my learning into a powerful direction. It was incredible to experience the steady shifts in my confidence from teaching five minutes of a live class, then 15 minutes, onto a half-hour ...and finally to independently teaching a sixty-minute class for my final practical exam. Furthermore, I received invaluable coaching from all the trainers on how to hone my public speaking skills and launch a fulfilling career as a yoga teacher - not to mention, I gained mentors and friendships for life, and my personal yoga practice deepened immeasurably. For all my life, I have held the unshakeable notion that the best investment I can make for myself lies in my education. Just before I was born, my family left everyone and everything they knew in Korea, and immigrated to the States with little but the hope that I might be afforded better schooling opportunities here. I am deeply grateful to have received an exemplary liberal arts education in New York and pursued my graduate studies in London. That said, the sheer breadth and depth of my knowledge and skill acquisition over the course of four months at Create Power Yoga is simply unparalleled to any educational experience I have ever had. I definitively recognize how this program has positively impacted the trajectory of my personal wellbeing and professional growth. Accordingly, I unreservedly recommend the Create Power Yoga School teacher training program to any practitioner or aspiring instructor seeking to gift themselves with the learning experience of a lifetime within a gem of a community space. My experience at CPY teacher training was amazing. As a person of color, everyone was very welcoming, knowledgeable, and helpful. I learned so much from Petra about yoga, alignment, and all that applies. Perfect amount of homework, tasks, and practice teaching opportunities, that were very relatable. This program changed my life for the best. I feel 100% ready to teach because of CPY and will recommend this program! Full Review
