The Create Power Yoga Teacher Training will give you a deep insight into both your yoga practice and understanding of yourself. You will learn how to teach yoga classes that are based in breath, alignment, and meditative movement.  You will come away from training with a comprehensive understanding of yoga physiology, meditation, teaching and communication skills, and how to lead a powerful, strength-building yoga class seeped in using breath and body awareness to create meditation. We will give you the tools to be a successful teacher while you deepen your own practice and understanding of yoga.

Many trainings emphasize reading and lecture. In this training, you will practice teach from day two. Your learning will be through discussion, lecture, hands on exercises, and teaching others. You will leave with skill not only in yoga teaching theory, but in real yoga teaching practice.

The Equity in Yoga scholarship program at Create Power Yoga is an initiative started in 2021 to create better representation of BIPOC (Black, Indigenous People of Color) in the yoga community. We believe representation matters, and BIPOC are under-represented in the yoga community and especially as yoga teachers. Our Equity in Yoga scholarship program aims to create equity in the accessibility of yoga training and help BIPOC to overcome barriers to yoga trainings.

I'm beyond grateful that I got to do my training and start my teaching journey with Create Power Yoga! I learned so much and feel so prepared and excited to embark on this new path in Yoga. Every part of this training has purpose, and you can tell that a lot of thought and care went into the creation of this training program. I enjoyed every moment of it and I'm so grateful to Petra and the teaching community here! Create Power Yoga is more than a studio, more than a community, it is a movement in inclusivity. It is an honor to be able to say that my teaching journey began here! Full Review

This experience was everything it was described to be and more. I left this training with a comprehensive understanding of anatomy, a firm grasp on the teachings of yoga and the yoga sutras, a foundational understanding of the history of yoga, and most importantly an abundance of confidence to teach a public yoga class! Lead trainer Petra, does an incredible job preparing her trainees to teach yoga and adapt to varying student needs. Additionally she is always trying to improve her teachings and ensure that everyone understands the lessons at hand. Petra and her team of teachers foster a welcoming, equitable, inclusive, fun and warm environment. I grew so much as a teacher and as a human being through this training. There is absolutely nothing I would change about my 200 hour yoga teach training experience at Create Power Yoga. I am just full of gratitude and eager to continue learning! Full Review
