The Create Power Yoga Teacher Training will give you a deep insight into both your yoga practice and understanding of yourself. You will learn how to teach yoga classes that are based in breath, alignment, and meditative movement.  You will come away from training with a comprehensive understanding of yoga physiology, meditation, teaching and communication skills, and how to lead a powerful, strength-building yoga class seeped in using breath and body awareness to create meditation. We will give you the tools to be a successful teacher while you deepen your own practice and understanding of yoga.

Many trainings emphasize reading and lecture. In this training, you will practice teach from day two. Your learning will be through discussion, lecture, hands on exercises, and teaching others. You will leave with skill not only in yoga teaching theory, but in real yoga teaching practice.

Reviews

As part of the Yoga Alliance Social Credentialing system, teachers that register with Yoga Alliance must submit a review of the RYS training program they completed.

Feedback from trainees provides Registered Yoga Schools with the opportunity to understand their trainees’ experiences in order to continually improve their trainings.

By choosing to display comments, schools enable trainees to provide insight into a school’s culture and training which helps potential trainees choose the right teacher training for their individual path with yoga.

Create Power Yoga Teacher training program was an amazing experience! Petra and Rachel made sure that we felt supported and loved throughout the entire program. They took their time to personalize our training experience to meet the needs of each learner. They worked individually with each student to ensure that we understood the material and they provided lots of hands on experience in order to master each lesson. Through this in depth training we learned the different limbs of yoga in a variety of ways in order for us to leave our teacher training as well rounded yoga teachers. Through the eight weeks we learned, in depth the yoga sutras, pose breakdowns and anatomy, which allowed teachers to gain a greater understanding of exactly why each pose might look or feel different in each body, as well as breath, meditation and assisting. By practice teaching with live students from week one, I was able to gain valuable teaching experience that prepared me to become completely confident in teaching by week eight. Through the entire training process I was mentored and encouraged to be myself and to let that shine through in my teaching practice. I would highly recommend Create Power Yoga to anyone thinking about yoga teacher training.

I can not say enough about this life changing experience. Petra and Rachel are extremely acknowledge and i found myself looking forward to each long weekend - including the practice teaching in live classes which I was sure I'd never be able to do. The encouragement and empowerment I received during this training will stay with me for my lifetime .

Create Power Yoga was the perfect learning environment. With Petra's supervision and encouragement I was leading parts of a live vlass as early as weekend 2!

I feel entirely comfortable and competent to begin teaching my own classes. I would highly recommend Petra and the CPY school for others considering training.
