The 300-hour YTT offered by Alex Bovkis is truly a life-changing experience. When I started the program, I could never have imagined how much it would deepen my yoga practice and expand my understanding of yoga philosophy. Alex is a gifted teacher with a unique style. She encourages students to bring the aspects of yoga philosophy that resonate with them into their everyday lives and truly live the practice. I will forever be grateful to have had her as a teacher. I was fortunate to find myself in a situation where I was the only student who signed up for my particular YTT with Shanti Yoga Hamilton. Alex Bovkis was kind enough to proceed as a one on one session and I could not be happier with my experience training with her. Her lessons were thorough and easily relatable with lots of opportunity to practice my teaching and grow comfortable creating classes that were unique to my personal teaching style. She was huge supporter of creative sequencing while encouraging techniques to ensure a safe class. Being the only student in YTT allowed me to move through the trainings with her at my own pace, with additional focus in the areas I enjoyed or needed more time to focus on for further understanding. Her knowledge of Yoga Philosophy was unmatched and she had such an amazing ability to guide me in finding ways to connect these learnings with own personal my day to day life.
