Enlightened Guidance: A Review of Ácárya Pashupati Ji (Steven Landau MD) at ‘Shiva Dancing School of Yoga’. As a recent graduate of the Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) 200-hour program at ‘Shiva Dancing School of Yoga’ I am compelled to share my profound gratitude and admiration for Ácárya Pashupati Ji, my esteemed trainer and guide throughout this transformative journey. Ácárya Pashupati Ji embodies the essence of yogic wisdom and compassion. His deep understanding of yoga philosophy, anatomy, and spirituality is evident in every aspect of his teaching. I am a Sannyasin of Ananda Marga. But being a monk with deep study of the ‘Ananda Marga Ideology and Way of Life’, I am going to confess that with Ácárya Pashupati Ji I renewed my knowledge and understanding of the teachings of our Guru BABA SHRII SHRII ANANDAMURTI JI. Ácárya Pashupati Ji has a quality... he provokes the other to inquire, to search. He creates in others a thirst to know and a deep longing to expand and grow. One of the most remarkable aspects of Ácárya Pashupatiji’s teaching style is his ability to seamlessly integrate ancient wisdom with modern understanding. His lectures on yoga philosophy were not just intellectual discussions but profound explorations of the spiritual dimensions of yoga. Through his guidance, I gained a deeper appreciation for the philosophical underpinnings of yoga and how they can be applied to enrich every aspect of life. In addition to his mastery of philosophy, Ácárya Pashupati Ji expertise in anatomy and alignment provided a solid foundation for our asana practice. His keen eye for detail and gentle corrections helped me deepen my practice while preventing injuries. I felt safe and supported under his guidance, allowing me to explore my edge and expand my limits. Beyond the physical and philosophical aspects of yoga, Ácárya Pashupatiji’s nurturing presence created a space of trust and openness within the participants. He encouraged us to explore our vulnerabilities, confront our fears, and embrace our authenticity. Through his wisdom and compassion, he cultivated a sense of community and belonging that extended far beyond the studio walls. As I reflect on my journey through the YTT program, I am filled with immense gratitude for Ácárya Pashupati Ji and the invaluable lessons he imparted. His teachings have not only deepened my understanding of yoga but have also inspired me to live with greater mindfulness, compassion, and purpose. I am honored to have studied under such a dedicated and enlightened teacher, and I wholeheartedly recommend ‘Shiva Dancing School of Yoga’ to anyone seeking authentic and transformative yoga education.
