Maui Yoga Shala is a Registered Yoga School (RYS) with Yoga Alliance, which designates this teacher training program as one which follows Yoga Alliance’s standards. Students who complete an approved training with this school may be eligible to register with Yoga Alliance as Registered Yoga Teachers (RYTs).

Our Yoga Alliance Certified Teacher Training is designed to lay a solid foundation for practitioners wishing to grow into teachers of this powerful art form. Through in-depth study of Asana, Pranayama, Teaching Methodology and Yoga Philosophy aspiring teachers are given the tools to share the essence and joy of Yoga.

We meet daily to practice and study at the beautiful Maui Yoga Shala, located in the idyllic town of Paia, a treasure on Maui's North Shore. When not in class, there will be time to swim and snorkel in the ocean, enjoy the pristine beaches of Baldwin, Paia Bay and Ho' okipa, watch the sunset, hike our forests and waterfalls, watch the whales and visit the volcano while enjoying the laid back vibe of the North Shore.

Experiencing the healthy lifestyle of Hawaii, soaking up the Mana, eating well, resting and being inspired will give you a chance to rejuvenate on a personal level. We believe that as teachers we need to cultivate good physical, mental and emotional health so that we can share that positive energy in our classrooms.
