Momentum Regeneration is registerd with the Yoga Alliance as 300-hours teacher training named “Momentum Regeneration Yoga Therapy Training” according to the updated yoga therapy policy. It combines traditional yoga with the findings of modern medicine, yoga psychology, yoga philosophy, ethics and the perspectives of Āyurveda. We are dedicated to offering safe, personalized, high-quality yoga for health and well-being. We aspire to make yoga accessible to all people, regardless of age, health conditions or cultural background. Our mission is to enable yoga teachers to create specialized, holistic yoga sessions according to the needs of the individual both in one-on-one and group settings. A range of skills from different yoga styles and yoga techniques inspired by the teachings of Sri T. Krishnamacharya and based on the eight-limbed path of yoga according to Patañjali build the foundation of our training.

Our daily schedule consists of yoga practice and relevant theory, which provide sound knowledge of functional anatomy, physiology and pathology, and imparts skills for dealing with specific physical and mental impairments and realistic self-assessment. The teachings are designed to provide a genuine, responsive encounter and to establish a gentle, pain-free and meaningful yoga practice. A growing understanding of body language and inner dialogue as well as the subsequent self-awareness open up a path towards further development of one’s own personality. This creates space for self-efficacy and new possibilities for action.

We progressively explore skills and variations of āsana qualities and functions related to locomotor skills such as mobility, stability, endurance, strength, mobility, flexibility, alignment, coordination and balance for all body regions, gradual steps to prānāyāma and mental stabilization. Our functional approach enables the application of yoga in an undogmatic and effective way, in order to meet the needs and goals of the individual person. With clear safety guidelines, students learn to develop a precise understanding of how to care for health and wellbeing in group sessions and private classes.

Our 300h yoga teacher training is based on learning, experiencing and practicing together. Specific questionnaires accompany the preparational reading material and deepen focus and reflection regarding the content of each module. The trainees subsequently start to apply these methods amongst each other and in small groups. After each module, studies and books are recommended and post-module questionnaires establish the essential learning outcomes. Based on the pre- and post-processing questions, a final evaluation of the Yoga teachers consists of a written essay, a multiple-choice questionnaire and two exemplary one-on-one teaching sessions.

Throughout and especially towards the end of the training, the trainees are encouraged to demonstrate that they understand the functional approach, principles and methods of addressing students with special needs, and that they are able to apply yogic measures practically. We encourage our students to be curious, respectful and punctual, as well as to adhere to our attendance policy and code of conduct.

All modules are taught with two teachers from our teacher team, who are constantly present. The team consists of experienced Yoga teachers with external credentials as health care professionals and/or c-IAYT certifications.
