Bala Yoga School is a Yoga Alliance accredited yoga school located in the international town of Auroville. Bala Yoga School has the added advantage of having a traditional Yogic practitioner as the lead trainer, Balaganesh Siva. Balaganesh SIVA, also known as Bala, was born in a village near Auroville, Pondicherry, India. He has a degree in Mechanical Engineering and Business Management, and his corporate career spanned more than 12 years in various fields like wind energy, interior design, and organic food products. His focus has now turned towards restoring the physical and mental health of people using traditional practices and methods like Yoga, Kalaripayatu, Karlakattai, and more.

Bala had his first experience of yoga while living in Amsterdam. After returning to India and practicing with wonderful teachers in various styles like Sivananda style of classical Hatha, Ashtanga Vinyasa, and Vinyasa flow for many years, he founded Bala Yoga School based in Auroville, India. Bala Yoga School is a Yoga Alliance accredited yoga school that conducts 200 hrs & 300 Hrs Yoga TTCs in Auroville, India, and Bali. They also organize yoga retreats, philosophy classes, and other events in stunning locations in India and abroad.

Bala is also a practitioner of Kalaripayatu, the martial art from Kerala, along with Karlakattai and silambam. He is involved in projects like father's role in childbirth, researching and educating about improving the bonding of father with his child through classes. Additionally, he runs a small NGO for the care of street dog’s sterilization & vaccination.

Bala believes that everyone should take care of their physical and mental health, as it is the best gift we can give to our friends and family.
