Our training focuses very heavily on the anatomical structure of postures, safe verbal and hands-on adjustments, safe and effective sequencing of classes, and a lot of practice teaching, as well as yoga philosophy and the ethical and business considerations of teaching yoga. We feature small group classes of 12 or fewer students with 2 senior instructors present.
Our curriculum is based primarily on the teachings of Sri T. Krishnamacharya, as passed on by Pattabhi Jois (from whom we derive movement linked with breath, aka Vinyasa Flow) and BKS Iyengar (safe muscular and joint alignment), as well as the Functional Anatomical teachings of Paul Grilley and Leslie Kaminoff.
