The style of yoga taught at HOLT Yoga Institute is based upon an original, internationally recognized yoga method. HOLT Yoga Institute was developed in Japan by Naoko Mira Robinson, in order to present this authentic, dynamic approach to yoga in her homeland. Naoko Mira Robinson has over thirty-five years of teaching experience in Japan and abroad, enabling her instruction style to provide not only method, but also meaningful mentality behind the method; i.e.: the secret of yoga and how to live a yogic lifestyle. Therefore, Naoko's instruction provides enhanced value to even experienced yoga teachers who desire to advance in their pursuit of continuing yoga education.

HOLT Yoga Institute offers YTT certification programs which comply with Yoga Alliance standards, as well as programs and classes for: Pranassage (a yoga assisting methodology), Self Awakening Yoga, Introduction to Yoga for Beginners, Chair Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Yoga Dance, Yoga for Mother and Child, Yoga in English for Children or for Adults and occasional one or two-day workshop experiences plus Perelandra Nature Research Center's Co-Creative Science, MAP and Flower Essence classes.
Classes are offered in Kanazawa as well as in five other Japan locations: Osaka, Niigata, Sendai, Tokyo and Okinawa. See details at http://www.holt-international.com

The style of HOLT's signature yoga method is Interdisciplinary Yoga as developed at Nosara Yoga Institute in Costa Rica, with which HOLT Yoga Institute was formally affiliated from its beginning.
After playing a key developer's role in shaping the original Kripalu Yoga style and teacher training for over 19 years, Dr. Don Stapleton began to evolve his own Interdisciplinary Yoga approach synthesized from all of his many influences, experiences and ingenious applications of traditional and contemporary yogic thought.

A creative artist as well as engaging educator, since 1995 Don's expertise has harmoniously complemented his life partner and Nosara co-founder Amba's entrepreneurial yogic spirit and talented contribution to Nosara Yoga Institute's thoughtfully designed, well-rounded programs featuring ID (Interdisciplinary) Yoga, Self-Awakening Yoga, Pranassage and Amba's Vinyasa flow. Don and Amba have taught globally and have personally trained many celebrities such as Demi Moore, Robert Redford, Graham Gross and Robin Williams. From 1994 to 2000 in Costa Rica, Don and Amba taught many students who wanted to become yoga instructors, establishing Nosara Yoga Institute in 2001. Today, Nosara Yoga Institute is regarded by many as a premier ‘pinnacle’ of yoga instruction.

HOLT Yoga Institute's founder, Naoko Mira Robinson, has been a representative in Japan for Nosara Yoga Institute as well as formerly for Kripalu Center. Through HOLT Yoga Institute, international certifications for Nosara Yoga Institute’s Yoga Teacher Training program and for Pranassage Practitioner Training program are available in Japanese language. As part of the Yoga Alliance Social Credentialing system, teachers that register with Yoga Alliance must submit a review of the RYS training program they completed.

Feedback from trainees provides Registered Yoga Schools with the opportunity to understand their trainees’ experiences in order to continually improve their trainings.

By choosing to display comments, schools enable trainees to provide insight into a school’s culture and training which helps potential trainees choose the right teacher training for their individual path with yoga.
