As part of the Yoga Alliance Social Credentialing system, teachers that register with Yoga Alliance must submit a review of the RYS training program they completed.
Feedback from trainees provides Registered Yoga Schools with the opportunity to understand their trainees’ experiences in order to continually improve their trainings.
By choosing to display comments, schools enable trainees to provide insight into a school’s culture and training which helps potential trainees choose the right teacher training for their individual path with yoga.

General Comments
Having done a Yoga teacher training for children with Shawnee Thornton, Asanas for Autism and Children with special needs, was one of the best choices I made. Shawnee has so much background and practice in the field for almost 30 years. I’ve learned medical background about children with special needs and neurodiv. I learned about the regulation of the nervous system in addition and a practice tailored for children with special needs. But. ot only. The way the course was given, with so much empathy, and compassion, the course is also a foundation to a yogic practice in general. I apply what I learned with a children’s class, and already got positive feedback. And I feel blessed having the baggage to be able to led an inclusive class. I would recommend it to social workers, teachers, and also people aiming for a children yoga teacher training because more and more are we aiming for inclusion in society. Merci 🙏
