As part of the Yoga Alliance Social Credentialing system, teachers that register with Yoga Alliance must submit a review of the RYS training program they completed.
Feedback from trainees provides Registered Yoga Schools with the opportunity to understand their trainees’ experiences in order to continually improve their trainings.
By choosing to display comments, schools enable trainees to provide insight into a school’s culture and training which helps potential trainees choose the right teacher training for their individual path with yoga.

Becoming a yoga instructor has been a lifelong dream and I went into the training not knowing what to expect for a 200 hour training. I had prepared by reading the required books and memorizing the journey into power and practicing yoga daily. I thought I was ready. I had no idea that it would require such intense not only physical stamina but emotional and mental as well. Each day as I interacted with other humans with similar goals, I learned how to communicate and share difficult and emotional experiences and listen intently as they shared theirs. I learned not only about the history of yoga but was happy to see how the ethical and moral practices aligned well with my own life. As I studied anatomy I recognized why some bodies can move into certain poses easily and others adapt modifications. And that's just the tip of the iceberg. Most of all I believe, as my mentors gently pushed me while reminding me I'm in a safe place, I learned to develop confidence and find my voice. I will forever remember and be grateful to the trainers at Baptiste Power Yoga Nashville, and I can't wait to share my knowledge with the world.
