We are gardeners of people.  Spend time in your body-garden and you will learn how to help it thrive.  Leave it alone and the climate and weeds will eventually take over.

The mission of Santosha School is to provide classes and services for personal transformation and greater understanding of health, in a welcoming, safe environment.  We believe health is not something to have and lose.  Rather, health can be ever-improved by developing more power, sensitivity and internal awareness with age.

Santosha School is nationally certified.  Our classes are open to all people and we have watched people of all ages find greater health and happiness.  Those seeking professional certification study here as well, and accumulate credits as at a university.  We offer thorough, professional training programs in the growing natural health care fields of ayurveda, yoga and bodywork.

We are a family school, where people of all ages, races, nationalities, orientations, and religious beliefs are welcome.

We believe in certification and licensing for natural health care.  Choose certified and help these professions grow.

As part of the Yoga Alliance Social Credentialing system, teachers that register with Yoga Alliance must submit a review of the RYS training program they completed.

Feedback from trainees provides Registered Yoga Schools with the opportunity to understand their trainees’ experiences in order to continually improve their trainings.

By choosing to display comments, schools enable trainees to provide insight into a school’s culture and training which helps potential trainees choose the right teacher training for their individual path with yoga.

A year ago, I started the teacher training at Santosha School after several years of practicing there. As I entered the empty-nester stage of life, I sought to expand my knowledge of yoga and also to focus my path and to grow towards the Divine. The 200 hour program at Santosha has been an amazing introduction to the many ways I can develop personally as well as help my students grow through care and nurturing of mind, body, and spirit. The curriculum is inspirational because it encompasses so much more than the asanas; ayurveda, breathing, meditation, emotional care, communication, chanting, bodywork and more are essential aspects to this program. Because it is go-at-your-own-pace, I was able to linger with and explore subjects of greater interest. I feel confident in what I have learned, am quite comfortable teaching (having taught more than 50 classes at the school), and have a very solid foundation to build upon as I continue towards 500 hour certification at Santosha. And did I mention the supportive community? Long-time students, other teacher trainees, other teachers, and the larger school community participated in the classes where I was a student, plus attended the classes I taught, providing feedback and encouragement for my teacher training journey. With the Santosha School program, I wanted to grow as a whole person, and the 200 hour yoga teacher program exceeded my expectations!

The yoga teacher training program at Santosha is very well rounded. I’ve not only gained a great understanding of Ayurveda, yoga philosophy and NVC (non violent communication) I’ve learned to live differently. Santosha is not only a place to learn, it’s a community, a home away from home. Full Review
