We are gardeners of people.  Spend time in your body-garden and you will learn how to help it thrive.  Leave it alone and the climate and weeds will eventually take over.

The mission of Santosha School is to provide classes and services for personal transformation and greater understanding of health, in a welcoming, safe environment.  We believe health is not something to have and lose.  Rather, health can be ever-improved by developing more power, sensitivity and internal awareness with age.

Santosha School is nationally certified.  Our classes are open to all people and we have watched people of all ages find greater health and happiness.  Those seeking professional certification study here as well, and accumulate credits as at a university.  We offer thorough, professional training programs in the growing natural health care fields of ayurveda, yoga and bodywork.

We are a family school, where people of all ages, races, nationalities, orientations, and religious beliefs are welcome.

We believe in certification and licensing for natural health care.  Choose certified and help these professions grow.

As part of the Yoga Alliance Social Credentialing system, teachers that register with Yoga Alliance must submit a review of the RYS training program they completed.

Feedback from trainees provides Registered Yoga Schools with the opportunity to understand their trainees’ experiences in order to continually improve their trainings.

By choosing to display comments, schools enable trainees to provide insight into a school’s culture and training which helps potential trainees choose the right teacher training for their individual path with yoga.

The yoga teacher training program at Santosha is very well rounded. I’ve not only gained a great understanding of Ayurveda, yoga philosophy and NVC (non violent communication) I’ve learned to live differently. Santosha is not only a place to learn, it’s a community, a home away from home.

Santosha School has an amazing well rounded yoga teacher program. Each teacher brings their light and experience to class which aids students to find a path that works. Philosophy, anatomy, posture sequencing, personal gardening, Sanskrit study, and much more. I have become apart of the Santosha Community, where we are all students of yoga. Aum, Amen, Peace.

Truly an in depth journey towards deeper knowledge of divine connection. The teachers are steeped in knowledge surrounding yoga, ayurveda, body work, philosophy, and more.

I have learned a lot through studying with fellow yoga teachers and others that are interested in Ayurveda. The school tried very hard to make it accessible during this pandemic, but I wish I could have attended most of the classes in person. Due to my own health condition, I had to remain virtual for the most of classes.

Santosha School provided a well rounded training to prepare myself as a yoga teacher. I found myself applying these teachings to life outside the yoga school, and will continue growing and learning from them. They taught me so much, it is hard to put it into words here.

I choose Santosha because of the depth of education that they provided. In the year that I studied and trained there I received an education far beyond just learning to teach yoga classes. We studied topics including philosophy, Ayurveda, anatomy and NVC. The teachers/mentors that I received my training from are invaluable. The school becomes a home away from home and the other trainees are extended family. I can not say enough wonderful things about this school.

This particular program was stretched out over 6 months plus a few and it gave a well rounded scope of all aspects of Yoga. I am glad to have completed this journey with Santosha and I look forward to continuing my education to become a well rounded yoga teacher.

Santosha School has provided a thorough training program from which I am continuing to grow. The RYT500 program not only expanded upon my knowledge of asana, anatomy, and physical assists, but it also provided me with tools for spiritual, mental, and physical well being. Especially enriching are the study of the Bhagavad Gita, chanting, devotional practices, ayurvedic cooking, ayurvedic self-care techniques, and the use of acupressure and marma points for self-care. Having completed this program, I feel not only equipped to lead more advanced or enriching yoga classes, I am also better able to nurture my family, friends, and self.
