At PIES Fitness Yoga Studio School, we believe the physical, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual benefits of yoga should be accessible to EVERYONE. Our vision for PIES Fitness Yoga Studio School is to prepare our trainees to provide holistic guidance on balancing the physical, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual bodies to all populations on a larger scale. Our staff and faculty are dedicated to compassionately guide clients and trainees to explore their life from a holistic perspective and apply the knowledge gained to improve their health and quality of life. The ancient practices and teachings of yoga are applied to support each client’s and trainees goals while dynamically adapting to their learning styles, strengths, limitations, culture, and beliefs to ensure maximum understanding and support of the client and the trainees.

We offer over thirty group yoga sessions in our two studios as well as community centers throughout Northern Virginia that are accessible to all, including special populations such as beginners, seniors, native Spanish speakers, pre-/post-natal, American Sign Language (ASL), and those with emotional, physical, sensory, cognitive, or intellectual impairments. In addition, we offer individual yoga sessions and complementary wellness services to deepen, support, and individualize holistic wellness strategies . Whether participating in a small-group or private yoga sessions, clients and trainees are engaged in a holistic experiential exploration and dialog with the yoga teacher and staff to self-identify and prioritize the techniques that improve health, wellbeing, and quality of life.

To bring the benefits of yoga to all  populations, PIES Fitness Yoga School has grown its educational outreach to provide further education to yoga teachers, wellness practitioners, community organizations, educators, and caregivers. Certifying our yoga teachers  and providing advanced training to yoga teachers on serving special populations such as seniors and those with special needs has created more resources to broaden our service scope.

Reviews

As part of the Yoga Alliance Social Credentialing system, teachers that register with Yoga Alliance must submit a review of the RYS training program they completed.

Feedback from trainees provides Registered Yoga Schools with the opportunity to understand their trainees’ experiences in order to continually improve their trainings.

By choosing to display comments, schools enable trainees to provide insight into a school’s culture and training which helps potential trainees choose the right teacher training for their individual path with yoga.
