  • Comprehensive Curriculum | Personal Attention | Expert Teachers

The Karma Yoga Foundation, run by the former owners of Yoga on High, Marcia Miller and Michele Vinbury, has been graduating some of the best teachers in Ohio for over 21 years.

Our one-of-a-kind training allows students to tap into self-awareness while exploring what it means to have empathy, respect, and loving-kindness for self and others. Teacher Training students are invited to learn about trauma and healing; social justice and inclusivity; as well as rest and restoration. The foundation of the curriculum is rooted in the history and philosophy of yoga and is woven throughout each module.

While alignment on the physical level is a key component of this training, priority will be given to sequencing the energetic states rather than the attainment of peak and physical poses. Emphasis will be placed on how to empower your students for safety, exploration, and curiosity. Intention will be placed on developing skills to authentically guide various populations through their expression of the practice.

This training is for you if:

  • You’re interested in a training geared towards a therapeutic and inclusive approach;
    You’re willing to look at personal and systemic patterns that create and feed systems of oppression;
    You’d like to appreciate rather than appropriate yogic practices;
    You have a sense of humor (or want to cultivate one!)

Our Yoga Teacher Training Programs have set the standard for excellence for over 20 years, offering embodied practices that help you meet the world today, while still deeply honoring the wisdom of yoga shared with us from India.

Reviews

As part of the Yoga Alliance Social Credentialing system, teachers that register with Yoga Alliance must submit a review of the RYS training program they completed.

Feedback from trainees provides Registered Yoga Schools with the opportunity to understand their trainees’ experiences in order to continually improve their trainings.

By choosing to display comments, schools enable trainees to provide insight into a school’s culture and training which helps potential trainees choose the right teacher training for their individual path with yoga.

    I miss the community and the training opportunities at this "Studio". I feel that I received the BEST training not only in Ohio but in the country. I grew so much from the wide variety of teachers and styles of Yoga I was able to chose from to compete my certification. Long live Yoga on High, even if it's just in our hearts.
