We Did It, Alaska! Our YTT Bill Is Law!

We are pleased to share breaking news – Governor Bill Walker signed House Bill 305 into law! Thank you to the Yoga Alliance® community and the diligent efforts of Alaska legislators for their overwhelming support. This legislation, championed by Yoga Alliance, will protect the rights of yoga teacher training (YTT) programs to operate in Alaska without unnecessary intrusion. YTT programs will no longer be regulated as vocational schools by the Alaska Commission on Postsecondary Education (ACPE). We thank the lawmakers who supported this legislation and Governor Walker for signing it into law! The law goes into effect on September 16, 2016.
