About Shawnee Thornton Hardy

Shawnee is a M.Ed, C-IAYT, 500-E RYT, RCYT (Registered Children's Yoga Teacher) through Yoga Alliance. She is the Founder/Owner of ABLE Yoga and Founder/Owner of Asanas for Autism and Special Needs and Founder/Director of Yoga "T' for Youth Certification Training. Shawnee has a Master’s in Special Education and has worked as a Behavior Specialist/Consultant for almost 2 decades. She authored the Book Asanas for Autism and Special Needs – Yoga to Help Children with Their Emotions, Self-Regulation and Body Awareness and developed the C.A.L.M.M Yoga Toolkit to provide a tool for teaching yoga to children of diverse abilities. She has a Yoga School through Yoga Alliance and trains others in teaching yoga to diverse populations. Shawnee's passion is in making yoga accessible and safe for all bodies and abilities and facilitating health and wellness through asana, meditation, mindfulness, nutrition and healthy lifestyle.
