Heather Wong is a lifelong athlete and views moving the body as a sacred practice. She has personally benefitted from yoga as a practice when recovering from trauma. Heather is passionate about teaching self-empowerment and mindfulness to her community. As a former public school teacher, she is a natural at personalizing and individualizing curricula to meet clients’ needs. Heather is certified as a Registered Yoga Teacher through the Yoga Alliance (RYT-500, E-RYT200, YACEP) and has been training teachers, students, and families in community yoga since 2018. As a new mother, Heather also specializes in teaching prenatal and postpartum yoga. In 2021 and 2022, she completed over 100 hours of yoga training focusing on pre/postnatal Yoga. During the training, she practiced while pregnant, took a month off to give birth, and completed the training during her postpartum period with a new son! Becoming a mother led Heather to learn more about practicing safely while pregnant, so she is becoming certified as a registered prenatal yoga teacher in 2022.
