Nicole’s love of yoga began in 2004 as a way to help heal physical injuries. In her journey as a Curvy Black Yogini, she has found herself feeling unwelcome in many yoga spaces. She was driven to become a teacher so that she could create a space where others could feel welcomed and respected no matter what they bring to the mat. Yoga inspires her to encourage others to embrace themselves and find freedom from comparison and judgment.
Nicole completed her 200-hour certification through Sage Yoga & Wellness Yoga Teacher Training Program. She studied with Anna Guest-Jelley to earn her certification in Curvy Yoga and is the only Curvy Yoga Certified Instructor in Idaho. She is a Certified Y12SR: The Yoga of 12-Step Recovery Leader. She is a member of Pelvic Health Professionals.
In Nicole’s classes, she welcomes everyone of every size and background. She loves to offer people who don’t always see themselves as “fitting in” a place to practice where they feel safe and always welcomed. She seeks to further the message that there’s a place for every body in yoga.
Nicole is certified through Yoga Alliance as E-RYT 200 YACEP, with specific certifications in Yin, Vinyasa, Trauma Sensitive, and Yoga Nidra. She is also a certified Y12SR Leader.
