About Astrea

Who am I (in the most gross expression ;)

Astrea

I started Yoga to search for answers and I had no idea it would take me into such a deep self-exploration and journey of transformation.

“I believe not only that trauma is able to completly transformed, but that the process of wellbeing can be a great catalyst for profound awakening.” Peter A. Levine

That is what iam experiencing myself and feel great passion to share the tools that have helped me and still work.

Yoga means to me to create balance in the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual level.  And to discover the freedom which lies in the Self, in the heart. Yoga allows us a momentary pause from the stressful external world to the peace of your inner most Self. And by repeating Yoga we can release the pain of the past and cultivate that peace as state in daily life.

My vision is to see people step into their full potential and start sharing their talents and light with the world. How can we do that? By training the practice of Self exploration which includes forgiving yourself, entering into the peace that lies in each one.

I would like to support others in understanding the dynamics of health on their own path. What does that mean, is starting where they are in Life, having a gentle but radical honest look into their present state of well-being. And what is important for their path to evolve and grow into Dharma.

Yoga came into my Life while travelling and volunteering in India, the lack of relaxation and peace within always led me to the believe that the world outside need to change. And I kept on falling for unhealthy habits like drugs, alcohol and smoking. After my first Yoga Class in Dharamsala 2010, India I experienced a peace and love within myself that kept me high for days and I decided right after that, if there is something on this planet that allows me to feel That way, then this will be my path. A woman and a word, that was my conclusion and I made my way to the yoga school of my first yoga teachers. Arrived at that Yoga School 2011 and my first lessons I promised myself that I will continue this path until realization of peace.

I teach Hatha Yoga, which usually focused inwardly. I will give you support but mainly space for experiencing your own body-mind-spirit during the class. We will always do a warm up, Asanas (body postures), sometimes some modern practices (depending on the topic of the class), pranayama (breathing exercise) and meditations.

I cannot write my Bio without being grateful for my Teachers and Masters in my Life:

Iam forever grateful for my teacher Swami Saraswati Vivekananda, who has introduced me to the real Yoga Tradition. He has taught me discipline and direction for my spiritual path, and he inspires me for Kashmiri Shaivism and the Art of Dying. Through this amazing soul I have learnt most of my Yogic knowledge, practices and meditations. Which has allowed me a big jump in my evolution. And finally due to his own processes I realized that my own fear bounded me towards lifesituations which didn’t serve me, and because of him I had to look deeper. Forever grateful.

I honour Ananda Maha, for teaching the art of health and understanding my own wellbeing dynamics. She taught me how to listen to others from my heart, recognizing their light and supporting the individual health path. She is not only my teacher and academic specialist for health but also a figure of aspiration, sharpness, love, compassion I will all my life and beyond look up to with great respect and admiration. She has a view on human that is “not from this world”, she is a bright star for this world and I will always support this women and her projects in whichever way I can.

I have great respect and love towards my teachers Sananda and Prem Nuti who are teaching me the path of the heart. The path that allows me to learn how to not only recognize my shadows but forgiving myself and others. They have changed my life and the life of my family to a extend I have never expected me nor the power of love would be able to. This couple is a symbol of real love in humanity and workers of the light.

I will never forget the guidance in meditations I have received from Michael Dunn, a teacher of Kundalini Yoga and deep Meditations. He has allowed me to enter into real peace for the first time in my life and through his support I have created anker in meditations to which I can always come back to.

My son is my greatest teacher of life and integration, he teaches me mindfulness, forgiveness, playfulness and how to be authentic. He is like a sharp Zen teacher who would react immediately to any internal or external misalignment in my life, and brings my attention back to the truth of the heart. The hardest, sharpest, most loving school I have ever been to is motherhood. Bowing down for the power which lies in families that are devoting their life’s, education and intention for peace and growth <3

And I thank god, the Christ, the angelic forces and my own inner light for allowance to offer my whole life for the purpose of spiritual healing and growth. <3
