Yogini J’aime has been practicing Yoga for the last 13 years. She has been studying several styles of Asana practice extensively in the US, Mexico, and in India — including Ashtanga, Hatha, and Vinyasa. J’aime’s qualifications as an instructor and guide include a total of 800-hours of teaching certifications in Hatha Vinyasa and Ashtanga formats in addition to countless hours of intensive workshop and individual personal training with revered Yogis and Yoginis from around the world; a master’s degree in Psychology; and a religious degree in metaphysical sciences. Having been initiated into the lineage of Himalayan Yogis, her personal focus is on Classical Period Yoga philosophy and practice. However, she has also wandered the paths of depth psychology, Qabalah, shamanism, esotericism, comparative religious studies, inter-spirituality, magic, martial arts, ritual, and mysticism.
J’aime has recently been awarded a Master’s degree in Psychology with a specialization in Consciousness, Spirituality, and Health, submitting a thesis and myriad essays focusing on Yoga Psychology and the application of the Ashtanga system as an adjunct method for PTSD and complex trauma resiliency.
J’aime has also received a religious doctorate in Metaphysical Sciences, where her thesis and dissertation were on using the modern chakra system as a psychological framework for life transformation. During the process of this degree program, J’aime received her ministerial ordination from the university seminary. After progressing through a yearlong Reiki training course until Master level while writing her thesis, J’aime chose to write her own manual for Reiki practitioners including her own experience with shamanism, yoga, and psychology to form a unique and intuitive method of working with the physical and the subtle body systems.
Yogini J’aime is dedicated to bringing together these many different modalities to form a transformational process of self-realization, holistic health, and spiritual practice that provides a lifestyle framework for mind/body wellness.
