About your Teacher Amy:

The seed of yoga was planted early in her teen years by Amy’s Mother. Her Mother considering it an appropriate life skill to help Amy through the stress and pressure that come at that age. The yoga seed slowly grew to fruition, and as she continued to practice, Amy began to find a place of inner peace and self-confidence that she felt compelled to share.
Being a Primary school teacher, it was natural that she began to share her yogic knowledge with her pupils. Amy’s pupils enjoyed her fun and dynamic kids’ yoga classes which combined the medium of storytelling with mindfulness techniques and yoga poses. Amy believes in bringing out every child’s unique character and in her Kid’s, Yoga classes she aims to create a safe and harmonious environment for children to share and grow together.
Amy felt compelled to understand more of the deep science of Yoga and on a trip to India she finally completed 500 hrs. yoga training with Guru Mahi of ‘Mahi Yoga’. This was a trip that would change her life and after completion of the course she returned to the U.K. ready to change profession and lifestyle.
Amy has taught hot Vinyasa flow yoga for the British fitness franchise ‘Hot Pod Yoga’. As well as holding Hatha Yoga classes, workshops and retreats in Wales and internationally.
In 2016 under Mahi’s careful guidance she began the transition to yoga trainer. Guiding new yogis on their journey to Yoga Teacher in the international setting.
In Amy’s Yoga classes you will benefit from her intuitive instruction; combining both subtle and physical guidance for students to experience the holistic benefits of a yoga practice. She loves to guide flow yoga combing the meditative qualities of movement with introspective moments that allow students to access their own inner guide. She implements an alignment approach based on her keen interest in physical anatomy, movement and mobility principles and breath awareness in her classes; giving modifications, using props and hands on adjustment making sure that each practitioner is safe and happy. Amy aims to help her students reconnect with themselves, re-energize and restore.
It is her combined experience as yoga teacher trainer and working successful yoga teacher that has led her to start sharing her knowledge through the online platform
