Niki’s insight into creating sustainable, personal transformation is a rare blend of Western Psychology, Behavioral Science and Yoga. Her clinical background ensures that her students receive practical insight and methods on how to take their mindfulness tools out of the classroom and into everyday life moments. She has been teaching, counseling and writing since 2007.
Her talent for communication has earned her a reputation around CA as a master of translation - turning esoteric or advanced knowledge into accessible knowledge "nuggets".
Her intention is to guide students to discover the light inside that reveals wisdom, bravery and health.
She has authored two books and is a contributing writer to Yoganonymous.com, ElephantJournal.com, Sivanaspirit.com and Wanderlust Media.
She leads workshops on embodied anatomy and meditation techniques including Yoga Nidra and breathwork.
Niki is well known for leading alignment workshops and anatomy practicums around the greater SoCal area and San Fransisco based on her study with Leslie Kaminoff and Dr. Gil Hedley. She has lead 200 YTT's around the greater SoCal area since 2014.
Her accessible, grounded classes integrate the best elements of alignment and mindfulness teachings. Niki is concise. She has a down-to-earth approach that has gained her the reputation of “an expert in teaching beginners the basics of yoga.”
Niki studies with and is most influenced by the teachings and philosophy of J. Krishnamurti, T. Krishnamacharya, Mark Whitwell, Sigrid Matthews, Dr. Stanislav Grof, Leslie Kaminoff, Dr. Gil Hedley, Tom Myers and Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. She holds an advanced Psychology degree from the University of South Florida.
