About Monica Mathews

I love teaching and educating people. I have my yoga certification with YogaWorks, but also I have over 20 years experience teaching senior populations, gentle yoga and also teach level 1 and level 2 Vinyasa flow. I have been certified  as a Myofascial Release practitioner by Erik Dalton and am passionate about finding balance in the body through asana, mindfulness and our own body feedback. I am a certified step, senior and group instructor through NASM. I am certified in Aerial Silks.  I am a part time specialty Fit For Life Yoga Workshop presenter, adjunct professor at University LaVerne. I also created and taught the 200 hour Vinyasa Yoga Instructor program at The Yoga Unit, Claremont for 8 years. With my YACEP certification I hope to help current and future instructors meet their full potential.
