Chelsea McQuaid is a yoga teacher, mindfulness mentor and Kidding Around Yoga trainer. Born in raised in Erie County, Pennsylvania, she’s raising her two children (and two cats) with their father in Lake City, Pennsylvania. She strives to bring the peaceful effect of yoga into students of all ages, whether they be four, or one hundred and four! She has been practicing for the last 10 years.
Chelsea enjoys bringing mindfulness to the students at her children’s school and working with local families to spread yogic peace. She also works with advanced age yogis at Pennbriar Athletic Club. At Plasha Yoga, she helps beginning yoga students develop a love of Integral Yoga practices. She has gone on to create the Mindful Mentoring coaching program for people to use all eight limbs, mindfulness, Ayurveda and more to find peace in their life's purpose.
After receiving her 200-hour certification from Plasha Yoga School in 2013, Chelsea went on to complete their 300-hour certification. She has experienced continuing education with Leslie Kaminoff, Haris Lender, Rudra Swartz, Michael Plasha, and Chris McCooey. This process led to joining Kidding Around Yoga as a trainer for those who wish to teach kids yoga and schools who wish to incorporate mindfulness into their behavior management.
Chelsea loves that the eight limbs of yoga can be applied to ANY yogi’s life and she’s inspired by the progress she’s seen in all of her students.
Her spiritual name, Karuna, means “mercy” or “compassion.”
