Clancy Cox is an Integral Yoga instructor, registered with Yoga Alliance RYT 200. Clancy began practicing yoga in 2007, searching for relief of spinal pain after a car accident. Little did she know the hugely positive impact yoga would have on other aspects of her life. She is passionate about sharing the power of yoga to increase ability to draw boundaries and stand up for oneself, diminish the paralyzing effects of anxiety, reduce both physical and emotional pain and stress, improve quality of sleep, support the function of every system of the body, and help the individual transcend limiting thought. Clancy received her teacher training at Satchidananda Ashram in Buckingham, VA, and has completed Elemental Vinyasa training with Shiva Rea. She taught yoga for women with eating disorders at Prosperity Wellness Center in Herndon, VA before moving to the North Country of upstate New York. She teaches at Satyana in Watertown, Kripalu Yoga Center in Adams Center, River Yoga in Clayton, the 8:1:1 class at Carthage Middle School, and privately in her own studio. She is also a classically trained Soprano, and loves to combine the transformative power of yoga and song.
