Clancy Cox is an RYT 200 certified yoga instructor. She is also a classically trained Soprano, and loves to combine the transformative power of yoga and song. Her mission is to support empaths to become immune to emotional manipulation. Clancy began practicing yoga in 2007, searching for relief of spinal pain after a car accident. Little did she know the hugely positive impact yoga would have on other aspects of her life. She is passionate about sharing the power of yoga, chanting, vocal and breath work to
- increase ability to draw boundaries and stand up for oneself
- diminish the paralyzing effects of anxiety
- reduce both physical and emotional pain and stress
- Improve quality of sleep
- support the function of every system of the body
- help the individual transcend limiting thoughts.
Clancy received her teacher training in Integral Yoga at Satchidananda Ashram in Buckingham, VA, and has completed Elemental Vinyasa training with Shiva Rea. She taught yoga for women with eating disorders at Prosperity Wellness Center in Herndon, VA before moving to the North Country of upstate New York. She teaches specialty workshops (Sanskrit chanting!) at River Yoga in Clayton, The Yoga House (formerly Satyana) in Watertown, and at Kripalu Yoga Center in Adams Center. She offers small group instruction in her home studio and is passionate about bringing the emotional regulation benefits of yoga to schools.
