Daphne’s journey with yoga started first as a sanctuary away from the hectic corporate life. In 2008, she traded in her business suit and found herself immersed in traveling, uncovering the wonders of Yoga as a practice, a lifestyle, a means of sharing her passion with others, and most importantly a lifelong study in the art of living. Daphne has studied with teachers from east and west, blending esoteric Eastern philosophy with the western scientific approach on anatomy and physiology. Some of her biggest inspiration has come from Richard Freeman – who has had a deep impact on the way she sees Yoga as a profound and yet subtle awareness practice for the body and mind. She also often dwells in Ram Dass’ prolific practicality on Non-Duality, and has had the privilege of receiving Carlos Pomeda’s modern take on the mystical study of Tantric philosophy.

As a bodyworker of various modalities, Daphne is trained in the art of Traditional Thai Yoga Massage, Cranial Sacral, Chi Nei Tsang (Abdominal Detox Massage), Tai Chi Massage and Reiki, in which she infuses into the alchemy of her intuitive bodywork and yoga sessions. Daphne incorporates a heart-centred approach, the sensibilities of alignment and biomechanics, as well as insights into yoga philosophy within her practice. Her sessions, classes, workshops, and trainings are known to focus on breath, mindfulness, and awareness to create the perfect balance in nurturing the body, mind and spirit.

Daphne is Anusara Inspired™, a E-RYT 500 yoga teacher, and a Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider (YACEP)  . She has been assisting and co-teaching in the Shantaya Teacher Training Programs with Jonas Westring since 2013. In 2016, she created Yoga with Daphneto provide training and mentorship programs for yoga and bodywork practitioners, as well as to bring like-minded people together to share knowledge and insights for the community. She is proficient in both the English and Chinese language and teaches Hatha, Anusara, Restorative, Yin, Partner Yoga, as well as Yoga Massage bodywork. She also offers one-on-one sessions to people dealing with injuries, conditions, or simply looking for a sense of well-being.

When she’s not traveling or teaching, Daphne enjoys being home with her partner in Chiang Mai, Thailand in their little sanctuary amidst lush green woods and rice padi fields.
