I started practicing yoga to support my own well-being and leadership just after completing graduate school and beginning my work as a clergy person in the United Church of Christ. I kept my yoga and work separate until I felt the calling to empower leaders to thrive in change with mindfulness, yoga and meditation which I combine with my decades of experience leading board rooms and classroom and supporting leaders with individual and group coaching and professional development.
I have yoga and meditation training and certifications in:
- Restorative yoga
- Meditation, including iRest™️ Yoga Nidra (Level 1)
- Pranayama (breath work)
- Reiki (Master level)
I also have background and experience in teaching:
- Trauma-informed yoga and meditation
- Yoga for youth and children
- Spiritually and philosophical based yoga and meditation
I teach a weekly yoga class online (Wednesdays, 8:30 a.m. ET) as part of my Defy the Trend Community memberships for leaders who attend to their self-care and personal development needs in a supportive community. I also teach occasional online restorative yoga and meditation workshops and you can find me popping up at yoga studios and other venues in my hometown of Columbus, Ohio. In all of these classes, I seek to make everyone welcome by offering a wide variety of body- and mind-affirming approaches to yoga and meditation.
I am available to teach custom workshops or classes in person or online in a variety of settings including corporate (which can be combined with leadership development training, team building, or group coaching), yoga studios, religious organizations, therapeutic settings, professional development organizations and more. I am committed to working against racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, fatphobia, and all other forms of oppression in all of my coaching, teaching and training.
