Carmela Lacey is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance, which acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher training with an approved and active Registered Yoga School (RYS).
She completed her 4 teacher training with Gregor Maehle and DR Monica Gauci in 2002/3 and has been teaching since the year 2000. She continues her education with Dr Monica Gauci and other esteemed teachers.
She was introduced to the Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga Method in 1996 and was dedicated to this method for over 20 years. She completed the Primary and Intermediate Series and worked through part of the Third Series.
In her early forties she started having serious musculoskeletal issues and so started exploring, studying and practicing functional movement, including clinical and mat Pilates. Her teachings comes from a wealth of experience in movement and yoga modalities. She continues her dedication to the 8Limbed path.
She teaches, Ashtanga Vinyasa, FUN'ctional Flow, Vinyasa Flow, Yin, Restorative, Pre and Post Natal, Breathing and Cleansing techniques, Meditation techniques and traditional Chanting (Mantra)
She regularly facilitates retreats and workshops .
